I have this. Good card. No QAM, but it can still get cable channels if you have a cable box. I am using it to watch TV on my iPhone with the Air TV app.

From Newegg.com Customer reviews: Linky
"No QAM Support
USB works with windows xp, vista, windows 7 beta, windows 7 RC both 64 and 32 versions. Works with Windows Media Center."

Oh nice to see the info I had regarding Win 7 was wrong. Still, I think I'll hold off for a QAM model.

Really? You'll be holding on for a long time to get a usb QAM tuner with an antenna (crappy) and remote (even crappier) for $19 plus shipping.

Hauppauge! Is better since it has it's own software. ATI TV Wonder had issues in the pass don't know how they're today? I'll pass on this deal! Thanks though.

I have the old PCI version and have been using for about 4 years with no problems.

Bought one of these for a laptop.

Thanks OP!

In for one, thanks OP. I'm looking at putting together a cheap HTPC setup and this will come in handy.

I use this same Tuner, got it on Black Friday a few years back. I can verify it DOES WORK with Windows 7 x64 Final. But it's a pain in the butt to get the drivers installed. You have to install the drivers with the installer from the website, and then open the program files folder and find/run the Install_USB drivers installer before it will work. (Unless they've updated the website version). It's really annoying and I have to mess around with it a bunch before I remember how to do it (installed on B1, RC1 and now final). But IT DOES WORK and this is a great tuner!

A quick question. If I travel to countries using PAL TV signal, can I still use it to receive anything?

Thanks!

Can I use it to connect to my dishnetwork and watch TV using my desktop computer?

I have this and it's been a reliable performer for the year or so I've had it.

Can this be used as a regular USB-to-S-Video converter?

To play something on my PC and watch it on TV.

Thanks OP, seems worth a try. By the way... How do you "steal" a deal. I mean, who owns it???

You mean to set it up backwards? Instead of feeding TV signal into the computer to feed computer signal into TV?

To view computer on TV, you need a video card with S-video or HDMI output, or a TV with VGA input (most LCDs have it).

This is a tuner card to watch TV on the computer.

And to answer your question, NO, you can not set up an electronic device in reverse and expect it to work. But, it would have been nice if we could.

Nice deal. In for 1. It looks like you can also use it to digitize any video output.
